Many players are attracted to baccarat because it is so simple to play. The players and the banker see who can get a hand of 2 or 3
cards to have a total point value closest to 9.
The rules of the game must be closely followed, but it?s relatively easy to learn and play
baccarat.
Natural Hands
A natural hand is a perfect combination of 2 cards with a total point value of 9. Two cards with a total value of 8 is also considered
a natural in baccarat.

A natural hand immediately ends the game. If no one has a natural hand, the game continues. A third card is drawn and the winner is
determined. In the case of a tie, all bets are returned and no winner is declared.
Baccarat Point Values
Understanding the points assigned to each card is essential to succeed at baccarat. Face cards contribute 10 points each, aces are
one point, and all other cards are their designated value.
If the total is a 2-digit number, the second digit is used to determine the baccarat score. A hand that totals 17, for example, would
be 7, while a queen and a nine would be a natural hand of nine and automatically win the round.
Baccarat Gameplay
The banker deals two cards to him or herself and 2 cards to each of the players to his or her immediate left and right. Everyone else at the baccarat table can
place bets on the players or the banker?s hand.
A ?banco? bet places the entire bank fund on the table and is an instance in which any other bets are withdrawn for the
round. If no one has a natural, an additional card can be drawn to determine a winner.
A player with a total less than 4 must draw, while a hand of six or seven must stand. A player with a total of 5 can choose either option.
This is all there is to understanding baccarat. Betting on the banker is a much better strategy because the house edge is lower,
but the chance of winning any bet is favorable in baccarat.
